Travel to school

At Ashbury Public School, we encourage walking or riding to and from school. Accompanying children to school teaches them good pedestrian habits, so that children can comfortably negotiate travelling about in their community independently when they are older. Ashbury PS takes students from a small catchment area so most families should be able to walk to school at least some of the time.

We ask that parents and carers are good role models in that they obey the road rules around the school. This is crucial for the safety of all members of our school community. If you are running late, it is better to park safely and get a late note than to park illegally and unsafely.
