Ashbury goes Solar

AshburyPS Solar rooftop

With the installation of solar panels on our largest rooftops in the past few weeks, Ashbury Public School is excited to announce that our total solar energy production capacity is now over 60Kw.

The school has solar panels installed on every suitable rooftop as we work to minimise our footprint on the environment.

We are fortunate to have the Department of Education fund 50% of the cost of this project and thanks go to the Purryburry Trust who funded 25%, our P&C also made a significant donation towards the cost. Thanks also go to the Solar My School team from Canterbury Bankstown Council who worked hard behind the scenes to get the plans and feasibility studies completed.
