Jazz Band Entertains the Nation on Channel 10

Today a film crew from Studio 10 came to Ashbury Public School to film our Jazz Band as part of Daniel Doody’s Back to School segment which went to air nationally on live television. Fresh from performing at a recent gig at Lazybones Lounge and backing up their hard work at the recent Jazz Band Camp, the students sounded fantastic.

Our Jazz Band is one of five bands and music ensembles in our band program conducted by Mr Jason Isaac. Students have the option of joining the program in Year 3 with the training band, they then move on to the Intermediate and Concert bands and from those bands they can also join the Jazz and Percussion ensembles.
